ST. PAUL, MN — Six 3M industrial adhesives have been certified to the GREENGUARD Children & Schools standard — the highest certification offered by the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute. The certification states that the chemical and particle emissions from these adhesives are low enough to meet the levels of indoor air quality standards set by GEI; one of the five key areas of human and environmental health within the United States Green Building Council’s LEED program.
“3M pioneered the development of water-based adhesives more than 45 years ago, and has continuously added to its portfolio of industry-leading products ever since,” said Brian Brady, product manager, 3M. “The idea that manufacturers have to choose between adhesive performance and environmentally preferred products is simply outdated. With 3M GREENGUARD Certified adhesives, manufacturers get both in a single adhesive.”
