1stWEST Mergers & Acquisitions Moves Into Lumber & Building Materials

EVERGREEN, CO - 1stWEST Mergers & Acquisitions says its has expanded its footprint in the lumber and building materials sector with the appointment of a  John D. Wagner as a Managing Director, according to Ted Rieple, founder.

“The lumber and building materials sector has seen an impressive number of merger and acquisition transactions, as the housing industry continues its recovery. JJohn will use his extensive contacts to raise awareness of 1stWEST M&A for buyers and sellers.” 

 Wagner served as director of corporate communications and investor relations for BuildNet, where he helped roll up 12 home building software companies. He also co-authored the private placement memorandums and an S1 that raised $147 million for BuildNet from Credit Suisse First Boston, Robertson Stephens, GE Capital, SSB, and other investment banks. Recently,  Wagner’s special focus is now on lumber dealers, building material distributors, building product manufacturers, and technology providers for the construction industry.

Wagner is an adjunct instructor in the Business School and the School of Architecture + Art at Norwich University, where he teaches architecture and entrepreneurialism.
