VALLEJO, CA -- The Cabinet Maker's Association (CMA) members and sponsors Western Dovetail, Blum and Glenn Pope Woodworking will host the San Francisco Regional Event, Friday Oct. 21, 2011. This day-long event is part of the CMA's own Professional Certification Program. The event will be held at the historic Western Dovetail facility on Mare Island in Vallejo, California. The former naval base is bursting with activity as the famous Maritime Reserve Fleet, AKA "The Mothball Fleet" is being dismantled directly in front of the Western Dovetail facility.
On hand will be CMA Speakers Bureau veteran member and executive director Dave Grulke from CMA headquarters in Milwaukee, WI. With the CMA's announcement this summer of its brand new Professional Certification Program, Dave will present an informative talk with a Q&A session about how shop owners and senior managers can benefit from enrolling in the program.
In addition, CMA sponsors will provide informative, educational formal presentations. Blum's Brian Joyce and Skip Lauderbaugh will present a talk about Blum's latest innovative products: CLIP top BLUMOTION, TANDEM and TANDEMBOX waste / recycle sets with SERVO-DRIVE and SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS. Max Hunter of Western Dovetail will be discussing innovation and product development as collaboration between customer, vendor and yourself. Learn how to get the most qualified experts in the industry to volunteer their valuable time for your next project by including them in your process. Dave Grulke of the CMA will present a fully accredited CMA CEU session entitled "How to Make Dollars and Sense from your Advertising Expenses". This seminar covers nearly every type of traditional print and broadcast media, how to buy it, how to evaluate it and gives attendees the tools to know exactly what works best for them. All attendees will be invited to a full factory tour of Western Dovetail's operation. Ample time for discussion and questions will follow each presentation.
