Wal-Mart Partners with West Shore Window & Door

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. - Wal-Mart chooses local home improvement company, West Shore Window & Door, to participate in a newly created small business pilot program. West Shore has been offered the opportunity to open up their own home improvement design center at the Wal-Mart store along Route 322 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. West Shore is one of few selected companies nationwide to be included in this business venture.

"We feel extremely fortunate to have our own full-time home improvement design center within our local Wal-Mart store. We're honored to be one of the few selected for this great opportunity. It's just another way for us to better serve our community," says President and Founder, BJ Werzyn.

The new design center will allow West Shore to offer their complete line of products, which consists of replacement windows, doors, insulated siding and garage doors to customers at Wal-Mart's every day low prices. The new home improvement design center is expected to be open by early next week with on-site design consultants to assist customers.

The world's largest retailer recently initiated this pilot program to help support local businesses within communities along the East coast. Wal-Mart's program allows a handful of small businesses to create their own department within the big box retail stores. If Wal-Mart finds the program successful, they're likely to expand it across the country.

Within the past year, West Shore Window & Door has been recognized by the Central Penn Business Journal as one of the fastest growing companies in Cumberland County. The company recently received the Reader's Choice Award in Harrisburg Magazine for their superior window replacement services.

"Our plan for the future is to continue growing as a company and to perform well in the Harrisburg Wal-Mart store. We'd like to have a home improvement design center in every Wal-Mart store throughout Central PA, Baltimore, DC and Northern Virginia," says Marketing Manager, Matt Henderson.

West Shore will be announcing the grand opening of the new home improvement design center on their Facebook Page, which customers can "Like" to stay up-to-date with current promotions and new products. For the upcoming month, the company plans to donate $1 for every Facebook "Like" to Operation Second Chance, a charity in Washington DC that helps veterans at the Walter Reed VA Hospital.
