ANN ARBOR, MI – QualityCabinets has become a major construction supplier to two St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway programs in 2011. The company has provided cabinetry for homes in Oklahoma City and San Antonio, for giveaway programs in June and November, 2011, respectively.
“We are proud to participate in the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway,” said Kristen Phipps, senior brand manager for QualityCabinets. “Working with our dealers and homebuilders in these cities allows us to customize our designs to bring these homes to life.”
Flexibility of design is playing a critical role in both of these homes, according to Phipps. “We are able to utilize cabinetry in unique and creative ways throughout these homes. We can really transform big or small spaces into multi-functional spaces.”
Versatile design allows cabinetry to deliver value to homeowners across various points in their lives. According to the GenShift 2011 Study, conducted on behalf of Masco Cabinetry by Harris Interactive, 24% of homeowners ages 18-65 indicated they live in a multigenerational house. “Use of our cabinetry in room designs helps accommodate today’s multi-tasking families, and provides long-lasting value that changes as a family’s needs change,” said Phipps. For example, QualityCabinets features a microwave niche in the kitchen island that is easy for people of all ages to use, and cabinetry that is easily applicable in universally designed homes.
The St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway was created in 1991, and today includes over 30 giveaways annually across the country. The Oklahoma City Giveaway program is in its fourth year; this is San Antonio’s first St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway.
