Merillat Cabinetry Incorporated Into Autodesk Seek

ANN ARBOR, MI – Merillat Cabinetry announced the launch of all-new Revit® and AutoCAD files which are now available on the Autodesk Seek website for many of its cabinetry products. The new content will allow architects to use more realistic looking cabinets in their computer design, giving them a better feel for the end result and ultimately producing better kitchens.

Autodesk Revit is the leading Building Information Modeling (BIM) software used by architects and designers to design buildings, specify products and render photo-realistic images. Now, Revit families have been created, enabling Revit users to integrate Merillat products, door styles and finishes directly from the catalog into their drawings, eliminating extra tasks in the design process.

The new material is the first of its kind, bringing designs to life with more accurate depictions of an architect’s, builder’s or designer’s project. There are no other national cabinetry manufacturers currently using materials of its kind in Revit, once again putting Merillat Cabinetry at the forefront of innovation.

Architects will have access to 18 door fronts with styles from the new, comfortable Bayville to the contemporary Tolani, as well as a comprehensive library of over 1200 Revit files, giving designers ready access to our vast array of product options to work with.

“We’re very excited for the launch of this new content for Revit. For the first time ever, users will be able to see what actual Merillat cabinetry will look like in their design giving them the advantage of foresight that they have never had before.” said Scott Wilson, Director of Customer Data at Masco Cabinetry. “Now, with Revit, users are able to use real Merillat cabinetry imagery within their designs. The new files are built to be easily incorporated into designs, enabling specifiers to work faster and with more accuracy. Another benefit of the content is the inclusion of more detail and information.”

“This is truly something we’re proud to bring to the architectural environment,” said Dan Smith, Director of Product Management at Merillat Cabinetry. “We have been working with architects and designers to provide the best building solutions, and the Revit models was the result.”

With the launch of Revit and DWG files on Autodesk Seek, Merillat Cabinetry remains committed to builders and other trade professionals by offering dedicated, innovative solutions that produces the most beautiful cabinetry that is built to last. The much anticipated tools are bringing excitement to the industry and proves once again why Merillat Cabinetry is “America’s Cabinetmaker.”

The libraries are available for download on Autodesk Seek, the leading repository for BIM Content. To learn more about Merillat Cabinetry Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD content, visit http://seek.autodesk.com/search/manufacturer:Merillat%20Cabinetry or watch the video http://youtu.be/XASDI1wG14w.
