JASPER, Ind.--Anticipating future growth and expansion, Kimball Hospitality, the nation’s leading provider of guestroom furnishings, announces the promotion of Robert “Bob” Bomholt to the position of Vice President and General Manager of Kimball Hospitality, assuming many of the duties currently held by Stan Sapp, President of Kimball Hospitality. The change in duties will allow Sapp to devote more energy and attention to the pursuit of new growth opportunities, including investigation of potential new market ventures. Bomholt transitions to this role from his current role as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Kimball Hospitality, a brand unit of Kimball International, Inc., is a global supplier of proprietary and custom designed furnishings for the hotel, casino, and resort industries.

Sapp will continue to be responsible for the Company’s hospitality brand, but will take on the additional focus of growing Kimball business in other global markets. In the past five years, under Sapp’s leadership, the Company has successfully positioned the Kimball Hospitality brand as the industry leader and established the lodging and hospitality market as a significant and profitable brand for parent company, Kimball International.

Bomholt, began his career at Kimball in 2004, joining the Company as Director of Operations for Kimball Hospitality. He became Senior Director of Sales and Marketing for Kimball Hospitality in August of 2007. In April of 2009, Bomholt was appointed Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He previously spent 20 years with NCR Corporation, rising to senior leadership roles in Finance and Supply Chain Operations. Bomholt holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree as well as a Masters of Business Administration in Finance, and is a Certified Management Accountant.
