KI Furniture CEO Donates Home to Veterans

GREEN BAY, WIS. – KI CEO Dick Resch, Rebuilding Together and scores of volunteers and veterans recently dedicated the KI Hope House in Green Bay as part of the national Heroes at Home veteran’s housing program. Donated by KI and Resch, the once-vacant property will serve as a transitional home for a returning military service member and his or her family.

“KI proudly supports our nation's military and remains committed to extending every opportunity we can as employers to make sure these heroes have a home when they return from deployment,” said Dick Resch, CEO, KI. “Thanks to the generosity and support of numerous organizations and volunteers, the KI Hope House will provide a welcoming transitional living space to a service member who works to successfully move forward within our community.”

Joining Resch at the event were Congressman Reed Ribble (R-WI), Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt, Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach and Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) advisor and retired Brigadier General Andrew M. Schuster. The group was also joined by KI employee and Army Reservist Mike Vaessen, who recently returned from his third deployment to Afghanistan.
