Keller launches bio-based flame resistant profiles
MANCHESTER, NH— Keller Products introduces new and truly exciting bio-based profiles that are also resistant to burning!

Keller’s new extruded profiles are primarily PLA (polylactic acid) with a proprietary flame retardant. While straight PLA burns quite readily, this profile blend offers very low smoke and is “self extinguishing”. The profile feels like any other plastic material and very much like ABS.

This material is 100% free of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and is made from a renewable resource (corn). Keller’s Vice President, James Decknick states “We are proud to offer a truly Green solution to replace other materials such as PVC. We can extrude this material in virtually any customer profile desired. We can even color match the profile as well. Green material, your exact profile, and doesn’t burn. It is a win/win for the customer!”

Constantly being on the “cutting edge” of plastic materials, Keller has extruded profiles for you to see and test. They can custom design a profile to meet your exact needs as well. This technology will span across many industries including but not limited to Point of Purchase displays, Packaging, Wall Partitions, Construction, Furniture, and many more.
