El Monte, CA — Brown Jordan, the leading manufacturer of leisure furniture, announced today its plans to relocate and renovate the Los Angeles showroom in the Pacific Design Center (PDC). The project aims for a new “social space” that encourages creative interaction, showcases Brown Jordan products and accessories as design tools for custom solutions, and supports the company’s image as the leader in innovation, color and style.
The new Brown Jordan showroom will be located on the first floor in the Blue Building at the PDC. The move from the fourth floor to the first allows for improved product display and traffic flow.
With construction scheduled to begin late June 2010, Brown Jordan has engaged internationally-renowned architects, John Friedman and Alice Kimm (JFAK), to lead the design of the 5,300 square-foot space. An integration of modern architecture with the design and functionality of Brown Jordan’s furniture will give the space a renewed excitement and purpose. “The idea is to design a social experience,” says Stephen F. Elton, VP of Sales and Brand Opportunity for Brown Jordan. “It is the experience of being in a particular space that engages designers and clients to work together, visualize, and create unique living solutions.”
Elton continues, “The renovation for a new social space, coupled with the strategic move to the first floor, allows Brown Jordan to better serve the extended design community while strengthening its presence in a key market.”
The Grand Opening of the new Brown Jordan showroom is scheduled for this Fall.
