Arlington Heights, IL USA – Michael Barry, President of Twin City Fan Companies, Ltd. of
Plymouth, Minnesota, elected today as President of the Air Movement and Control Association
International (AMCA International) at the association’s 55th annual meeting held in Aventura, Florida USA.
Since 1987, Mr. Barry has been an active participant and strong supporter of AMCA International. He has served on numerous committees within AMCA, and has been a regular participant in the development of many of its policies, and programs. Over these past twenty-three years, Mr. Barry has served on numerous committees including the Sales & Marketing Committee, Speakers Bureau, Global Utilization Task Force (GUT), and is currently a member of AMCA’s Marketing Committee.
In 2002, Mr. Barry joined the AMCA Board of Directors, and over the past 6 years has served on
AMCA’s Executive Committee, where he held positions of Director-at-large, Treasurer, and is currently serving as AMCA’s Vice President. In addition to numerous duties as Vice President, Mr. Barry is also a member of AMCA’s Investment Task Force, and is dedicated in maintaining AMCA’s continued growth and well being, as well as ensuring a return on investment (ROI) for the membership. Graduating from the University of Minnesota in 1984, Mr. Barry went on to attend the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN, earning a B.A. in Business Administration in 1987.
Mr. Barry has had a long career with Twin City Fan Companies, Ltd. spanning over 35 years. He started working at Twin City Fan Companies in 1976 as a Literature Clerk and in 1984 he began working in the Sales Department. Mr. Barry became the Director of Marketing in 1993, VP of Marketing in 1995, and promoted to his current position as President of Twin City Fan Companies, Ltd. in 1999. Twin City Fan Companies, Inc. Ltd. is a family owned business with approximately 1,200 employees worldwide, with manufacturing plants in the United States, China, Singapore, India, and the Czech Republic.
Mr. Barry was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He and his wife, Etta, have three children, Alexandra 18, Benjamin 16, and Jacob 13. They reside in Minnetonka, Minnesota.
Michael loves to spend time with his family, and enjoys snow skiing, scuba diving, and travel.
The Air Movement and Control Association International, Inc. is a not-for-profit international association of the world's manufacturers of related air system equipment — primarily, but not limited to fans, louvers, dampers, air curtains, airflow measurement stations, acoustic attenuators, and other air system components for the industrial, commercial, and residential markets.
