HANOVER, Ontario — The Wood Manufacturing Cluster of Ontario has opened registration for its upcoming LMI Leadership Series – Effective Leadership Development, a comprehensive program designed to elevate the leadership capabilities of professionals within the wood manufacturing sector.
Facilitated by Barry Reid from LMI Canada, this structured, multi-session workshop series offers an opportunity to cultivate essential leadership competencies, enhance communication skills, and ultimately drive greater productivity within organizations.
Kicking off on April 24, this interactive series consists of eight bi-weekly online sessions, each running from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
The series begins with pre-conference goal-setting sessions on April 24 and May 8, setting the stage for focused development. This is followed by a Kickoff Meeting & Planning Tool Training on May 15 and a dedicated Goal Setting session on May 29.
The eight lessons include:
- Lesson One (June 12): Successful Leaders are Made Not Born - Exploring the fundamental principles of leadership development.
- Lesson Two (June 26): Improving Results Through Better Time Management - Equipping leaders with strategies for maximizing efficiency and productivity.
- Lesson Three (July 10): Exercising Authority Effectively - Providing guidance on leading with confidence and impact.
- Lesson Four (July 24): The Art of Delegation - Mastering the crucial skill of empowering team members and distributing responsibilities.
- Mid-Term Review (August 7): A dedicated session to assess progress and reinforce learning.
- Lesson Five (August 21): Effective Communication - Developing clear, concise, and impactful communication strategies.
- Lesson Six (September 4): Motivating People to Produce - Learning techniques to inspire and engage teams to achieve optimal performance.
- Lesson Seven (September 18): Preventing and Solving Problems - Building skills in proactive problem-solving and effective conflict resolution.
- Lesson Eight (October 2): Developing People’s Potential - Focusing on strategies for coaching, mentoring, and fostering growth within teams.
The series culminates in Participant Graduation Presentations on October 16, providing an opportunity for participants to showcase their learning and the impact of the program.
