VANCOUVER, B.C.-- Millwork giant Metrie Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement for the acquisition of certain assets of Anderco Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of doors and door frames, based in Fullerton, California.

Announced April 25, the deal is expected to close on May 1. Terms were not disclosed.

This marks the second acquisition of a California-based company and fourth in just over a year for Metrie, considered North America’s largest manufacturer and distributor of millwork solutions. The Canadian company is ranked 16 on the FDMC 300 list of North America's largest wood products producers.

In 2022 Metrie acquired the hemlock and alder moulding manufacturing and distribution business of Oregon-based Fred Tebb & Sons Inc., interior and exterior millwork distributor Tinder Wholesale, LLC, and California-based moulding, millwork and door distributor EL & EL Wood Products Corp. Prior to that, in December 2020 Metrie became North America's largest MDF moulding manufacturer following its acquisition of Pacific MDF Products Inc. and Canadian MDF Products Co., collectively known as Pac Trim.

Founded in 1926 and headquartered inn Vancouver, British Columbia, Metrie's operations include six solid wood and MDF manufacturing facilities, plus 26 distribution centers in the United States. and Canada. Company President and CEO Kent Bowie was recognized as a Wood Industry Market Leader in 2020.
