IKEA founder Ingvar Kamprad has resigned from all official duties relating to the RTA furniture manufacturer and retail giant, including the company's board.
IKEA founder Ingvar Kamprad is stepping down from the board of Inter IKEA Group, which operates the IKEA Concept and controls the IKEA brand. At the same time, his youngest son, Mathias is the new chairman, taking over for Per Ludvigsson.
Mathias Kamprad has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Inter IKEA Holding SA, the holding company of Inter IKEA Group. He is the son of founder Ingvar Kamprad.
