GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Leitz Tooling ProfilCut Q Premium, a finalist for a Challengers Award at the 2016 International Woodworking Fair, has received a prestigious international award.
In manufacturing, productivity results from a combination of speed and accuracy.  An international 41-member jury appraising industrial design innovation recognized these qualities in the innovative ProfilCut Q Premium tooling system and awarded Leitz Tooling the internationally-renown Red Dot award.
Over 4,600 products were entered into the Red Dot competition.  Only those which distinguish themselves with regard to superior design receive the “seal of quality.”
Now the fastest tooling available, the ProfilCut Q Premium is capable of peripheral cutting speeds up to 120 meters/sec.  Competitive tools top out at 90 meters/min.
With this speed comes exceptional accuracy, attributable to a new, patent-pending, clamping system which positions the knives radially and axially within an extremely tight tolerance.  This results in high finish quality right off the machine, reducing the need and time for subsequent processing.
Combining top processing speed with easy knife changeover and maintenance results in greater output on every shift.  Finally, the re-engineered tool body reduces vibration and noise, further contributing to its high-speed productivity and accuracy.
ProfilCut Q Premium is perfect for windows, doors, furniture and flooring and all solid wood, engineered wood, plastics and other materials.
