Hi, I am planning on building a large outdoor table for our backyard. Ideally, I am looking at a length of approx. 12'. When we remodeled our home recently, I had to take down the old pergola and now have some beautiful old wood that I would like to reuse for the table project. The wood sizes are: (2) 11' x 5.5" x 3.5" (2) 15' x 7.5" x 3.5" (8) 15' x 3.5" x 1.5" (6) 5' x 5.5" x 3.5" (2) 3.5' x 7.5" x 3.5" Now I am struggling with the best construction for the table's base given this supply of wood: 4-legs, pedestal, trestle, cross-legged? Any ideas or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
