Another AWFS Fair is in the books and it was a rousing success with many cool new products shown, especially when it comes to cabinet hardware.

Among exhibiting companies were Accuride (back after a hiatus), Bainbridge, Comtrad Sourcing, Hafele America, Kemp Hardware & Supply, Rev-a-Shelf, Salice, Samet by Canmade, Sugatsune America and U.S. Futaba. Among numerous innovations, Rev-A-Shelf (featured on the cover) displayed its blind corner cabinet unit, making the unreachable accessible.

Accuride, Grass, Blum and Grass invited the Woodworking Network cameras in for booth tours. Accuride showed (among many items) heavy-duty slides, a retail display drawer at an angle, and a beta development of an electronic lock system for drawers, which integrates into the slides. Drawers open only with an electronic a key card.

Other hardware suppliers offered updates on their hottest products, such as Blum’s award-winning Aventos lift system. Using Blum’s Aventos lift system with Servo Drive technology, with one tap, doors open vertically, out of the way.

Hafele, which is having great success in lighting, showed its new version of LOOX LEDs, with diodes concealed and in some models, eliminated altogether.

Grass demonstrated its Tiomos Impresso concealed hinge system, which mounts in a free tool fashion and is available for frame and frameless.
