Online design tools are becoming increasingly popular as companies look for ways to showcase their diverse product line and to engage the customer – both design professionals and consumers – visually.

Organized Living, Cincinnati, OH, debuted an online design software, “Design Your Own,” allowing professional users to create custom storage designs.

“Design Your Own is incredibly helpful,” says Amanda LeBlanc, professional organizer for The Amandas, Birmingham, AL, and Organized Living dealer and spokesperson. “Creating organized spaces with functional systems is important to the success of The Amandas and our clients.”

Solid Wood Closets in Glendale, CA, introduced an online design tool for its solid hardwood systems aimed at consumers. Spokesperson Natalie Portman says the tool makes it easy for the client to visualize her new closet. “It will also allow customers to place an order for the specific products needed online based on their design,” she adds.

The Stow Co., Holland, MI, with each of its brands, ORG Home, EasyClosets and Easy Track, offers web design tools for both professionals and home owners. As more customers go online to find their dream designs on Houzz.com or Pinterest, closet retailers and wholesalers offering these web-based design tools will likely have an advantage.
