  Googling around I was surprised to find a home storage solution designed by star architect Michael Graves!

Graves has brought his signature style to many household goods - everything from tea pots to toasters - merging modern and classical motifs. In an inititative launched this year with JC Penney (he worked with Target through last year), Michael Graves Design Group has developed a a number of contemporary, stylish home storage solutions - including several full-blown closets, complete with rather awesome coat hangers.

  It was Grave's divider shelf that first caught my eye. It organizes clothes, toys, movies, etc.  with evenly spaced dividers in nine separate sections to keep space "ultra-chic and clutter free," according to Michael Graves Design Group - the Princeton, NJ practice that . Matching storage bins are also sold; the fiberboard/plastic piece measures 38.8x12.5x37.6”

Michael Graves Design collection for JCPenney launched in the first quarter of 2013, with over 300 original designs ranging from kitchen appliances to candlesticks.

Michael Graves Design Group has designed and brought to market over 2,500 products for clients such as Alessi, Steuben, Stryker Medical, Target and Disney. Graves goal is to make the ordinary extraordinary - functionally and aesthetically. "Good design is humanistic, familiar, accessible and intuitive," he says. We couldn't agree more.
