Fresh wood chair
So I cut this smaller tree down to use for a fresh wood style chair. I didn't let the wood dry and just tried to seal it with polyurethane. I left it inside while at college and after about a week in a half it started to mold around the open wood areas. I bleached the mold and it doesn't have any on it anymore. I have left it out in the sun for the last two weeks and it has started to crack a little bit so I know it is drying and no mold has returned after a week. I was wondering what the best way to go about the project is from this point to prevent mold from returning and have the wood work when it is indoors. Should I continue to let the wood dry for a longer period of time, or could I reseal it with a stronger sealer? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
