I got a large slice of basswood from the craft store to make a serving tray as a Christmas gift. I sealed it with a polyurethane sealer spray & let it dry for 24hrs. After doing a pour painting,I noticed a swelling in the middle of the slice. I’ve looked up a few ways to flatten the wood but I’m unsure on what exactly to do seeing how it’s a dried,painted surface. Help!!
