CNC Bootcamp

The CNC Bootcamp is a daylong program to help kickstart woodworking businesses on their CNC automation journey. Designed for new adopters of CNC manufacturing or those just considering purchasing their first CNC, this intensive workshop features industry experts covering everything you need to know to get started. That includes what CNC machines can and can’t do, what the range of options from small to large is, what you need to know about tooling and software, what accessories are vital and often overlooked, and what are the best strategies to shorten your learning curve. Will Sampson, editorial director of Woodworking Network, moderates the event and shares his personal experience as a recent CNC adopter in his own shop combined with more than two decades of covering the growth of CNC automation in woodworking.

IWF 2022 ends, now the work begins

Four years in the making, IWF 2022 was a resounding success with thousands of attendees from across the world visiting nearly 1,000 exhibitors and learning about some of the latest in technologies. Robotics and automation were the most prominent technologies of the show, with seemingly every aisle, especially in the A, B, and BC halls, operating a robot or automated technology. Despite this prevalence, these technologies were not part of the industry's most prevalent awards competition. The Challengers Award.
