Reshoring summit at Franklin Furniture Institute

STARKVILLE, Miss. -- The Franklin Furniture Institute at Mississippi State University will hold its Make it in America Reshoring Summit on Thursday, August 11.

Furniture is big business in Mississippi. Furniture manufacturing employment in the state is reported to be 19,603, with furniture supplier employment reaching 21,976.

Speakers include Mickey Milligan of the Mississippi Development Authority, Harry Moser of the Reshoring Initiative, and manufacturers who can report success stories in the state.

A workforce training panel, presentation on NIST MEP reshoring, and report on the Wal-Mart 2016 U.S. Manufacturing Supplier Summit are also planned.
