UNION CITY, Ind. - Criswell Davis, architectural marketing manager for Frank Miller Lumber, is in London, England, meeting with some of the world's leading architectural and design firms, including Foster + Partners, KPF, WATG, and Woods Bagot.
Criswell is an approved continuing education provider for the American Institute of Architects (AIA), university lecturer and renowned international speaker promoting the many virtues of sustainable American hardwoods in design. He regularly visits with architectural and design firms, job sites, manufacturers and universities around the world. He has shared his American hardwood expertise with more than 4,000 architects, designers, manufacturers and students worldwide over the past six years. He has represented Frank Miller Lumber for 20 years of his 28-year career in the American hardwood industry.
In the meetings in London, Davis will discuss the general benefits of using sustainable American hardwoods in international design projects while focusing on the key benefits of the beautiful quartersawn hardwoods produced by Frank Miller Lumber. He will give a lunch presentation to each of the firms on successive days, allowing for time to meet more informally to discuss ongoing or future products which may use quartersawn American hardwoods. He will also visit with two importers of premier hardwoods while in England.
