LOS ANGELES - Closets designer and industry commentator Denise Butchko will present 'Boutique-Inspired Walk In Closet Design' at Dwell on Design, the annual three day gathering and expo in Los Angeles produced by the home design magazine. Her presentation is Friday, June 24 at 4:00 p.m
 
Butchko summarizes her closets design presention as follows:
 
The percentage of people wanting to do high-end, boutique closet design is increasing.
As people realize and acknowledge the value of storage space in their homes, many homeowners, particularly women, are allocating space to “dream closets” much as men have been allocating man cave space in the garage and the basement.
This session will show examples of rooms that were turned into dream closets as well as some integral tools leading up to the design and execution of such detailed and intensely personal spaces.
 
This session will review:
The Advancement Assessment – this goes beyond shoe count and long hang.  The wide array of information gathered that’s required for an effective design solution for both you and your client at this advanced level
How to match “flow” and “function” with space parameters.  This goes beyond putting in a “closet system” and into design aesthetics.
It is not about the money.  Only IT IS about the money.  Discuss budgeting for such big, fancy closet spaces.
