Mobile, AL – Comau LLC congratulates Airbus on the occasion of the official opening ceremony of its U.S. A320 Manufacturing Facility in Mobile, Alabama.

Comau was selected by Airbus as the full line integrator on the site, and has provided all jigs and tools as well as the aircraft main assembly and test stations for the plant.  The assembly and test stations include the large steel fixtures that surround and hold the aircraft sections as they are assembled, allow the technicians to access the assemblies, and house the tooling and automatic drilling units used to put the aircraft together. Comau has been engaged on this project since its inception in 2013, and  has worked with the Airbus team to manufacture, deliver, install, and commission this tooling.
