ANAHEIM, Calif. – AWFS Fair will once again highlight plastics and plastic fabrication during its next fair that will take place July 19-22, 2017 in Las Vegas.

According to trade show chair, Rob Howell from SCM Group North America, “(At the last event) in 2015, AWFS Fair began a focused effort of giving buyers a road map as a means of locating these products on the show floor much easier than they have in the past. It worked out very well for both exhibitors and attendees and, as a result, this program has been expanded for 2017.”

Exhibitors displaying plastic-related products will again be highlighted on the AWFS Fair website, in the official AWFS Fair show directory, and will have designated markers within their booths.

In addition, as part of the AWFS Fair Plastics program, a two-part seminar series will be offered in the College of Woodworking Knowledge (CWWK) educational seminar program related to plastics.

Stiles Machinery will host a SMART session in their booth with presenter James Swanson on “Minimizing Handwork with Producing Plastic Parts”. This 90-minute session will address a number of key acrylic manufacturing processes and attendees will learn best practices and machine features for efficient machining and sawing materials.

Following the Stiles SMART session, Michael Fabbri of King Plastic will offer a classroom session on current plastic materials, applications and tooling “need to know” for woodworking businesses.
