About the Event:
The Composite Panel Association (CPA) and Surface & Panel present the 2018 Material, Technology, and Design Symposium at the CPA Fall Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee. In its second year, the event unites manufacturers, suppliers, specifiers, and end-users to learn about cutting-edge design trends, materials, and technology. The symposium and CPA meeting feature notable speakers, dynamic education sessions, broad networking opportunities, and an exhibit hall displaying décor materials and technology from around the world.

A Golf Tournament is set to be held on Sunday, Sept. 23 for an additional fee of $180 per person. It will be held at the Gaylord Springs Golf Links Course located at 18 Springhouse Lane, Nashville, Tennessee. The tournament begins at 1pm with a shotgun start and will conclude at 6pm.
Registration for the 2018 MTD Symposium/CPA Fall Meeting can be completed online, but it is not compatible with Internet Explorer. Cancellations for all or part of a registration are due in writing by Sept. 11 minus a 25 percent administrative fee.
The price for a Symposium Attendee is $725 and includes all symposium events. Attendees must meet mandatory eligibility requirements.
To be eligible to attend the Symposium, you must fit into one of the following groups:
- CPA membership
- Manufacturers and fabricators of composite panels with active North American manufacturing operations (sales/distribution offices do not qualify)
- Furniture, cabinets, closets, store fixtures, and other finished product and component manufacturers
- Raw material suppliers of decorative surfaces/overlays, equipment, resin/adhesives, printers, hardware, technology
- Architecture/Design professionals and students
The Symposium reserves the right to withdraw a registration with full refund if attendee does not meet the criteria
The price for a CPA Member Attendee with a RED donation is $750 and $725 without. Registration includes all CPA meetings and Symposium events.
The Robert E. Dougherty Educational (R.E.D.) Foundation provides scholarships to college students in industry-related fields of study. The Foundation is funded by CPA and generous donations from member companies.
Spousal registration is priced at $200 and includes the welcome reception, the spouse/friend breakfast, and the chairman’s reception and dinner.
Golf tournament registration can be completed as part of an attendee's meeting registration and includes golf/tournament fees, on-site lunch, cart, shirt, and transportation to and from the hotel. Rental clubs are available for a fee of $55 and must be reserved in advance when registering and paid for onsite. All skill levels are encouraged to participate. Proper golf attire is required and multiple layers are encouraged due to changing weather. Steel spikes are not allowed.

Attendees are expected to stay at the JW Marriott, CPA's host hotel for the Fall Meeting/Symposium. It is located at 201 8th Ave S, Nashville, Tennessee. Attendees not staying at the JW Marriott may be charged an additional $300 fee by CPA if the association is assessed any penalties for not achieving the room block.
The discounted room rate of $239 per night is available at the JW Marriott until 5pm (CDT) on Aug. 31, 2018 or until the room block is full.
