I built a drafting table several years ago and am now facing portability issues...mostly it will not fit through most doorways in older homes.
The table has 4x4 legs, stretchers, etc. I have a couple of issues:
1. How do I cut all four legs cleanly and identical. My thinking is to buy a portable band-saw (yes, I know their primary use is on-site metal cuts).
2. How do I reassemble the legs so I may disassemble and reassemble at will. My first thought on this is large (1"?) dowels. I believe the complication with this getting all 4 dowels to line up.
Any suggestions are welcome.
