CLEVELAND, OH – Sherwin-Williams recently contributed to helping create color trends in housing a Color Marketing Group (CMG) CrhromaZone Color Forecasting Workshop.

Sherwin-Williams Hosts Color Marketing Group WorkshopThe CMG meeting, attended by designers and color experts, was held April 26 at Sherwin-Williams Global Color and Design Center in Greensboro, NC. It was one of 13 North American CMG meetings designed to gather information that will be considered by the CMG at its fall International Summit where it will forecast color trends up to 18 months down the road.

Mike Farrell, renowed color expert, designer, artist and product developer, kicked off the CMG's meeting in Greensboro. His presentation, “Connecting the Dots,” compared his method of developing creative concepts to that of the series of dots that comprise a vintage comic book illustration, known as the Ben-Day dots printing process. Observed individually, the dots – and concepts – seem to have no meaning or reference. Observed at arm’s length, the dots – and concepts – take shape, creating a comprehensive picture or design.
