GROVELAND, Calif - Yosemite Pines Resort is expanding their many lodging options this summer with the addition of a group of "classic" and "retro" trailers. In addition to "glamping" in a yurt, luxury or basic cabin, RV or tent camping site, guests at the resort will now have a new place to spend quality time with friends or family on an Escapation - where "escape" and "vacation" meet. The fully furnished classic trailers are sited just steps from the Resort's many onsite activities and optimally accommodate 4 people who enjoy a throwback lifestyle.

Yosemite Pines Resort is located just 30 minutes from the western gate of Yosemite National Park and is a popular "home base" for experiencing area activities. From Yosemite Pines, guests will be able to explore California's dramatic Sierra Nevada Mountains, a playground of recreation for hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, fishing, horseback riding, rock climbing, photography, and many other outdoor adventures.

Recently, Fodor's Travel selected Yosemite Pines RV Resort and Family Lodging as one of their "10 Best Places to Camp Year-Round." (http://www.fodors.com/news/photos/10-best-places-to-camp-year-round#!4-yosemite-pines-rv-resort) The well-known travel website said "Yosemite Pines is a multifaceted year-round resort and stands out for its variety of lodging options, cleanliness, and picturesque evergreen mountain backdrop." Travel influencers Esther and Jacob also published a detailed review of the resort on their popular travel blog (http://localadventurer.com/yosemite-pines-rv-resort/) after a recent stay.

The resort now features three accurately restored classic trailers, ready to rent - a 34' Silver Avion, a 31' Silver Avion, and a 32' Boles Aero. In addition, new 19' and 24' Silver Beach trailers built in the "retro" style are being added in mid-July, 2016.

The themed sites of the classic and retro trailers are intended to remind guests of the popular trailer campgrounds of the past. With modern amenities, guests can enjoy a true "glamping" experience, presented with a generous amount of nostalgia. Inside these trailers, it is easy to imagine an era decades ago, when families in their four-door Plymouth took great automobile vacations, towing their "aluminum house on wheels" along historic Route 66 and across America.

From Yosemite Pines, guests can easily visit Yosemite National Park on day trips to view waterfalls, climb Half Dome, pull in a nice trout, or ride a bike through Yosemite Valley. The YARTS shuttle motor coaches stops at the Resort and is a convenient way to travel from the Resort to Yosemite Valley.

The Sierra foothills location of Yosemite Pines Resort allows guests to continue their Escapation™ with a visit to one of the nearby California Gold Country towns. Many also choose to stay and spend time relaxing at Yosemite Pines to enjoy the Resort's large swimming pool, play a rousing game of sand volleyball or Bocce Ball, or smile as the kids enjoy the playground area or Petting Farm. Photography is always popular on the nearby Nature and Fitness trails, where it is not uncommon to view wildlife in their natural setting.
