Produced by British designer Josh Renouf, the Barisieur is an alarm clock that wakes you up with fresh coffee or tea.
Featuring a tray made of either walnut or rubberwood, the Barisieur utilizes a centralized milk vessel in its base - cooling milk to 37 degrees and detecting its presence with an infrared sensor. An induction coil is used to boil water in borosilicate glassware on the tray.
A retro digital display tells the time and sets the alarm, and a sealed drawer stores coffee and tea.
Renouf raised over $700,000 for his alarm clock coffee maker on Kickstarter after it went viral. Launching the Kickstarter in May 2016 with a goal of $474,000, Renouf was able to raise over $125,000 in just six hours, but still had a long way to go.
Only a week remained before the end of the campaign and Renouf still had $150,000 to go. Kickstarter noticed and made the Barisieur the 'Project of the Day' and the goal was met.
