SAN DIEGO -- American Rock Room is debuting a natural walnut finish for its entire line of furniture amps this week at the 2016 National Association of Music Merchants trade show in Anaheim, California. The furniture as amplifier concept was conceived by founder and musician Zac Dowell.

Dowell started American Rock Room furniture to manufacture fully functional rock amplifiers, speaker cabinets and guitar storage that can double as chairs and tables. He says he has an "obsession with good looking gear," and created this furniture because he wanted it for himself.

Now that "good looking gear" will include a brand new look, with the additional of a walnut finish offering. "Reaction to the new finish was incredible as the majority of musicians love the furniture amps but wanted them to be able to fit in with the décor of existing rooms," Dowell says. "This new finish expands those possibilities. Included in the walnut line is the Americano Coffee Table amp.

"Our production facility is prepared to meet any demand," Dowell says. "We are also hard at work on our next two product launches that will enable musicians to furnish an entire room with furniture amps."

Dowell, who has a background in architecture, launched American Rock Room in 2014. He built the first Americano Coffee Table in his garage and later developed manufacturing partnerships to mass produce the furniture line.
