Turning a Threaded Box Cover
Brian Brooks at Lumberjocks shows his latest jig for cutting threads inside and out of turned boxes. "I saw this one posted here and made my own version of it. www.atbq.qc.ca/jm2/thread.htm ." He used 3/4-inch altic birch plywood and a little maple. "The 1×8 threaded rod is the same 1×8 that my lathe has so I can turn the box or lid in my chuck then just transfer it on to the jig." Dremel Official Drill Press and Work Station
There is an official Dremel Work Station that will convert rotary tools to a drill press for drilling, to a tool holder for sanding and polishing, or to a flex shaft tool stand. It features an aluminum base, steel tube assembly, and drills at 90° vertical and adjusts in increments of 15° up to 90° horizontal, holding tools at 90° for polishing and sanding. The telescoping tool stand holds flex shaft model 225 Dremel. A crow's nest provides on-board storage for drill bits, wrenches, collets and other accessories; and a nice thing for Dremel users: cord management keeps cord safely stowed. Depth markings provide for consistent depth adjustments, with base markings in English and Metric. It's $59.99 at Etsy. https://www.etsy.com/listing/240394730/dremel-drill-press-and-work-station-220?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=dremel&ref=sr_gallery_2
