Lakewood, N.J. – Modular Closets, with the mantra Closets For All, debuted its core products in 2015 aiming to simplify and standardize the custom closet concept with its modular, do-it-yourself (DIY) closet system.
“The driving force behind the foundation of Modular Closets was to create a custom closet system that was affordable and easy to put together, with a finished product of a quality,” the company says. Some of the features of the system include ¾-inch-solid-birch plywood cases with a thin veneer finish; pre-assembled dovetailed, solid birch wood drawers; aluminum hanging rods and brackets; pre-drilled assembly holes and touch-to-open slides, all fastened by steel Italian cam lock and post.
With the goal of accessibility in mind, the company’s closet modules can be mixed and matched to meet homeowner’s design preference, offering a custom look at a lesser price point than standard custom closets, and also offering professional closet and home organizers an affordable solution for their clients, the company says.

Modular's beginnings

Primarily focusing on the multi-family residential high-rise market at first, Modular first gained contracts to install closets in apartment buildings across the country. With positive feedback, in April 2016 Modular Closets revamped and relaunched its e-commerce website, which now serves homeowners and contractors.
