PALO ALTO, CA – Houzz, an online home design and remodeling community, has added  a “Closets and Home Organization” category to its professional directory on the Houzz website and in its mobile apps.

Houzz showcases portfolios of interior design and remodeling professionals in kitchens, baths and other rooms; closets has now received its own break-out.

Home storage solution professionals  create a free profile at Houzz, selecting the Closets and Home Organization section. The Houzz site is visited by 3 million consumers monthly on desktops and mobile devices, paging through the room designs.

“There is enormous demand from the community on Houzz for ideas and resources to help them better organize their homes, so Closets and Home Organization is an important addition to our already deep set of professional categories,” said Liza Hausmann, Houzz VP marketing.

Some 50,000 architects, interior designers, general contractors, and other home remodeling professionals are on the site already, according to Hausmann.

The Closets and Home Organization category apps span all areas of home organization from closets to pantries to murphy beds and garages, and all types of organization professionals.

The debut of the category  comes just days before Hausman will be a featured presenter at the 8th Closets & Home Organization Conference & Expo, taking place Feb. 15 –17 in Austin, TX. Hausman’s presentation, scheduled for day one of the Closets Conference, will preview Houzz’s new study of consumer home storage needs.
