Mod Mom Furniture Hooks Up with BrookstoneLOS ANGELES, CA -- Mod Mom Furniture will sell its "eco-friendly" mid-century modern toy boxes through Brookstone's Internet catalog.

Pauline Collins, public relations manager for Brookstone, best known for its high-end electronic products, said, “Brookstone is known for clever ideas and cool products. Mod Mom Furniture is both modern and traditional.”

Mod Mom Furniture started in a Los Angeles garage in 2007, the product of self-taught furniture designer and maker Kiersten Hathcock. Hathcock, a mother of two, says on her website modmomfurniture.com that she built everything herself for the first three years but is now outsourcing her kids' strorage designs to L&J Woodworking, an Amish furniture company based in Hathcock's native state of Ohio.

Mod Mom Furniture products have been featured in Dwell Magazine, Elle Décor, Los Angeles Times and Better Homes and Gardens as well as in episodes of ABC’s Shark Tank and the Nate Berkus Show.
