Homebuilder stocks are rising in anticipation of a better spring building season, offering a glimmer of hope for closets and home storage solutions providers.

Builder confidence for single-family homes rose for the fourth consecutive month, reaching a level not seen since June 2007. Share prices rose this week for publicly traded home building firms like Pulte, Lennar, Beazer and Hovnanian.

Home Builders Upbeat as Show Nears“Dancing with the Stars” champ, J.R. Martinez, is scheduled to speak at the International Builders Show, in Orlando, FL, Feb. 8-11 at the Orange County Convention Center.

Martinez is also part of a homebuilding initiative. The Iraq war vet will discuss his relationship with Operation Finally Home, a charity providing custom housing for injured soldiers and their families. Martinez, injured when his Humvee rolled over a land mine, receiving burns on 40% of his body, now gives motivational speeches and has appeared on ABC’s daytime drama “All My Children” for three years.

The National Assoc. of Home Builders’ Building System Council is partnering with Operation Finally Home to build a custom five bedroom home in North Carolina for U.S. Marine Staff Sergeant Vincent Grizzarelli and his family.
