German cabinetry manufacturer Rotpunkt debuted a Rustic Monochrome styling with the launch of its Karo Luxio Kitchen in new City Grey Oak and Terragrey kitchen cabinets and furnishings.
The design is paired with a marble effect laminate worktop and decorative wall, and includes all the fixtures for a finished kitchen, the approach to projects typical of German kitchen cabinet firms.
All of Rotpunkt kitchens are made using BioBoard: 37 percent less timber is used, thereby conserving forests without compromising on product quality and stability, the company says.
The new laser-edged Terragrey doors and cabinet carcass are seen here in a matt lacquer with vertical Dutch grooves. A slab door also available. Doors can be finished in Melamine or HPL (high pressure laminate), and if made-to-order, can be finished in gloss, while matt finish as standard.
The central island unit is finished in the new City Grey Oak with 10mm Marble effect laminate worktop: also seen across the bare walls as a full-height splashback for the height of visual appeal.
Also offered are Rotpunkt in-frame Shaker-style doors and matching shelf are combined with matt black fixtures
The rustic City Grey Oak shelves with chunky Matt Black wall brackets and contemporary spotlights give a sense of balance, enriching the cool marble splashback and worktops, as well as offset the full-height Terragrey wall cabinet with vertical Dutch grooves.
The organic qualities of the new City Grey Oak against the solid matt Terragrey lacquer naturally create a welcome contrast when set against this pure white and grey-vein marble backdrop.

Heinrich Rabe and Wilhelm Meyer established Rotpunkt in 1930, when Buende, Germany, was mainly the center of the German cigar making industry. Starting with the production of cigar boxes, they progressed to making wooden toys and sewing boxes and, in the 1950s, to producing kitchen cupboards. As a family-run company with a long tradition, we are situated in the cradle of the German furniture and kitchen industry (the so-called "chipboard valley") with 3 production plants.
