CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cabinets By Design, a Duluth, Georgia-based commercial millwork firm, was acquired by the Ninth Street Capital Partners (NSCP) investment group.

Cabinets By Design, which specializes in educational, laboratory science, and healthcare casework, will be added to NSCP’s family of millwork companies, which operate under the parent company USA Millwork.

“Cabinets By Design has provided premium designs and craftsmanship to the commercial millwork industry for over 24 years,” said NSCP Managing Partner Michael Weiner.  “The company’s focus on primary and secondary schools as well as healthcare facilities has enabled it to become a nationally recognized leader in the end markets it serves. By joining the USA Millwork family, Cabinets By Design will be in a position to take advantage of the growing demand for educational, laboratory science, and healthcare millwork products throughout the U.S. In addition to giving USA Millwork a strong presence on the East Coast, Cabinets By Design’s manufacturing capabilities gives USA Millwork the opportunity to serve more high volume projects.”

USA Millwork has over 200,000 square feet of manufacturing space across the country with its acquisition of commercial casework firms in the Denver, Atlanta and Wisconsin markets.

“NSCP continues to focus on expanding USA Millwork’s national footprint and sees many opportunities to grow the new partnership,” added NSCP Managing Partner Patrick Dickerson. “USA Millwork is positioned to serve the custom commercial millwork needs of general contractors, architects, and builders in every industry throughout the U.S.”

Ninth Street Capital Partners was founded in 2009 to make lead investments in smaller middle market companies. It’s portfolio of commercial casework manufacturing companies include:
O'Keefe, River Falls, Wisconsin; Kitchen Cabinet Distributors, Raleigh, North Carolina; and Freelance Enterprises, Denver, Colorado.
