Peer-to-peer closet design software roundtables for troubleshooting, tips and shortcuts will be held at 2:00 p.m. April 12, during Cabinets & Closets Expo.
ACSP board member Wendy Scott is coordinating an ACSP Software Users Group, with sections accommodating many popular applications. Peer led, the event will emphasize design software tips round tables.
“Are you an expert with your design software, or do you need a few pointers?,” ask Scott, who designs for Sophisticated Storage Solutions in Bound Brook, New Jersey. “You are invited to compare tips and tricks with your fellow designers, or to observe designers using different software, so you can decide what is best for you without a sales pitch.”
Scott suggests examples of questions that might be answered during the event:
• How do you save custom units you use often?
• How do you import images into your library?
• How do you import custom colors for better accuracy?
“These are a few tips I am looking forward to learning in a hands-on environment,” she says. “You can read it, be told it… but being shown it, then doing it yourself makes for greater success. “
Applications expected to be covered include Vero’s Cabinet Vision, Canary Closets & Cabinetry software, ClosetPro Software, Microvellum Software, Mozaik Software, and Other Solutions, for other popular or newer applications.
