Despite a sluggish revenue period between 2009 and 2011, upward trends in new and existing home sales have spurred a rebound in the cabinet and vanity manufacturing industry, with sales increasing to $14.8 billion as of earlier this year.

Finally headed into recovery, the improved economy and housing markets will stimulate demand for the industry's products. Increased disposable income and consumer confidence will cause housing starts and remodeling activities to revive, leading to increased purchases of kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities and countertops. Industry revenue, employment and wages are all set to improve; however, high input prices will keep profit low. For these reasons, industry research firm IBISWorld has updated its report on the Cabinet and Vanity Manufacturing industry.
