Trimble of Sunnyvale, Calif., has introduced two new global positioning system receivers that feature the company's propretary Transcend technology.

The technology includes the latest generation of Global Navigation Satellite System chipsets and processors.

The Trimble AgGPS 262 is a low-profile unit that combines a GPS receiver and an antenna with a choice of accuracy levels. It replaces the AgGPS 252, but does not require new cabling and configuration.

The 262 also has several accuracy options, including sub-inch RTK and WAAS, or Wide Area Augmentation System. Prices start at $2,995, according to a news release.

The Trimble AgGPS 162 is a combined antenna and GPS L1 receiver that is a low-cost, all-weather, differential GPS option when less-accurate applications are warranted.

The radar speed output allows users to control variable-rate controllers without additional speed indicators. Prices start at $995, according to the release.
