Innovation Cabinetry has launched its Endura line of outdoor cabinetry “designed to inspire everyone to live outdoors.“

Burton Mill Solutions is the new name of Wood Fiber Group and combines the biggest names in sawmill cutting tools and filing room automation technology, including Simonds International, Burton Saw & Supply, BGR Saws, Cut Technologies, U.S. Blades, Armstrong, and Wright Machines. 

Furniture for people with disabilities has become more available in recent years, boosted by the power of Ikea and its ThisAbles set of 3D-printable “furniture hacks” in 2019, and, more recently, by the Pottery Barn retail giant, which reimagined more than 150 of its best-selling home furnishings to better suit people with disabilities. 

Chicago is world-renowned for its architecture. From its modern steel and glass architecture to the neighborhood bungalow, the city has led the way in architectural design. One style of which the city has not been at the forefront of is the mass-timber movement. But, that might be changing.

Three shows are coming together this fall in Milan to create new business opportunities. The three shows are: the 33.BI-MU international biennial exhibition of machine tools, robotics and automation systems, additive manufacturing, digital and auxiliary technologies; the Xylexpo, a biennial exhibition of woodworking technology and components for the furniture industry; and Viscom Italia, Europe's leading visual communication trade fair.

Despite reporting three quarters of a billion dollars in second quarter earnings, West Fraser Timber Co. Ltd. is permanently curtailing approximately 170 million board feet of combined production at its Fraser Lake and Williams Lake sawmills and approximately 85 million square feet of plywood production at its Quesnel Plywood mill.  The curtailments will be realized through the elimination of one shift at each facility.

Finishing specialist RPM International will officially introduce its Industrial Coatings Group at the International Woodworking Fair, set for Aug. 22-26 in Atlanta.

Appalachian Millworks & Cabinetry, LLC has received a $400,000 loan from Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority to assist the custom cabinetry, flooring and millwork manufacturer in the relocation and renovation of its facility as well as to streamline production.
