Conner Industries acquires Denver Reel & Pallet Company

FORT WORTH, Texas — Conner Industries, Inc., a leading provider of lumber, industrial wood crates & pallets, and integrated packaging solutions, announced today the acquisition of Denver Reel & Pallet Company, a custom wooden crate and pallet business in Denver, Colorado. This latest acquisition marks the company’s first investment in the Rocky Mountain industrial packaging market and its second major investment since July.

Steelcase one of 42 winners of Michigan's Governor Service Award

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and the Michigan Community Service Commission announced the 42 winners who will be honored at the 2023 Governor’s Service Awards on Nov. 28 at the Fox Theatre in Detroit. Steelcase was one of the three firms to be named in the social impact category. Individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations will also be honored for their commitment to volunteerism, service, or philanthropy.

Oktoberfest: Where Woodworking Meets Germany

Weinig Holz-Her US held its third Oktoberfest on October 25 - 26 in Mooresville, NC. Woodworking professionals, students, and more came from across the country over to celebrate and attend the free event. The event wasn't like other events; it was an immersive Deutsch experience. In addition to machine demos, educational workshops, and an edgebander giveway, there were interactive activities like live music, axe throwing, and corn hole competitions.
