Meet the NCAA Final Four hardwood court provider: Connor Sports

AMASA, Mi. – The official basketball court provider for the NCAA Final Four has been hard at work doing what it does best. With this year’s March Madness underway, Connor Sports built hardwood courts at all first and second round sites in Buffalo; Indianapolis; Milwaukee; Orlando; Sacramento; Salt Lake City; Greenville, S.C.; and Tulsa, OK. It also installed courts at all men’s and women’s regional sites.

S&S Moldings selling all high-tech woodworking machinery

MCKINNEY, Texas – Texas-based moulding supplier S&S Moldings is selling an assortment of woodworking machinery it no longer needs. The machinery is being auctioned for sale on and includes equipment from Holz-Her, TimeSavers, Paul, and more. Machinery being auctioned includes rip saw systems, optimizing saws, planers, sanding lines, moulders, panel saws, double end tenoners, and more. Universal Forest Products expands into hardwood with Indiana firm purchase

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Universal Forest Products Inc. has announced that one of its affiliates has closed on the purchase of certain assets of Quality Hardwood Sales, LLC, a Nappanee, Ind.-based manufacturer and supplier of hardwood products, including components for cabinets used in homes and recreational vehicles. This is Universal’s first operation devoted to hardwood products. Quality Hardwood saw net sales of $30 million in 2016. The company’s management will remain.

California Closets expands into Michigan, creates 61 jobs

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - In an effort to expand its supply and reach into the eastern United States, custom storage manufacturer and retailer California Closets will build a new manufacturing facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. 
The new facility is expected to create at least 61 new jobs. The company will invest over $5.7 million in its construction.
"West Michigan is attractive to us due to many factors,” said Eric Wolff, president of California Closets.
