, Newburyport, MA, says positioning its technical competency in Autodesk Inventor software with its manufacturing capabilities helped the company win the contract to develop precision millwork for the 1,600-seat Helzberg Hall, home of the Kansas City Symphony.

According to Ritch Winokur, engineering manager at Mark Richey, the software helped the company to "preflight" the fabrication and installation of the acoustically demanding wood interior, ensuring parts aligned perfectly.

"Creating digital prototypes of the various wooden elements allowed us to identify and fix problems ahead of time, before we'd cut a single piece of wood," Winokur said.
