Surf's up with this Balsa wood surfboard from Three Brothers Boards, located in Daytona Beach, FL. An entry in the 2016 Best in Wood (formerly known as Custom Woodworking Design Portfolio) Awards, the unique piece features "wood veneer steamed over a mould to fit a foam core shape and seamed at the rails to create full a wood look."

Created with traditional woodworking machinery, the surfboard from Three Brothers Boards is one of many entries in the annual contest. It's not too late to enter your project. Submissions will be accepted until Monday, Nov. 2.

Categories include: residential furniture, freestanding; residential furniture, built-in; architectural millwork; commercial/institutional; kitchen/bath cabinets; countertop/solid surface and specialty products.

All award winners will be featured in Woodworking Network magazine and celebrated during a gala awards reception at the 2016 Cabinets & Closets Conference & Expo, March 22 - 24, 2016 in Pasadena, CA.
