LAS VEGAS, NV - Blue Star Opportunities, a distributor of sustainable wood remodeling products under the Duro Design brand,  says it will distribute Canadian-made European style wood flooring in North America.

A major Canadian producer will manufacture the flooring which is carried exclusively by Las Vegas-based Blue Star. Publicly traded firm reported $3.4 million in 2012 revenues, and projects $1 million in revenue for the first quarter of 2013. It targets institutions that want to buy green remodeling materials.

The flooring line emphasizes long and wide planks in oil penetrating stains and specialty colors like silvers, white washes and grays, which Blue Star says is increasingly in demand today.

"We are starting an intense distribution drive through our long established network of high end dealers as well as architectural and design firms," says Blue Star. "This is a valuable complement to our quality lines produced in our own facilities." It says the tight integration of ordering and fulfillment integrated to its Canadian flooring mill will provide a 20% cost advantage over imported flooring, and ready inventory.

In addition to the European flooring, Blue Star offers more than 20 lines of traditional oak, maple, hickory and other types of wood in all sizes including larger width and length flooring. It also carries LEED certified bamboo and cork flooring in hand finished color.
