CARTHAGE, MO — Diversified manufacturer Leggett & Platt announced the promotion of Perry Davis to the position of president of the Residential Furnishings Segment. Davis replaces the retiring Paul Hauser, who has held the position since 2006. The move is effective Feb. 18, 2012.

Davis joined Leggett & Platt in 1981, spending the past five years as president of the Bedding Group.

In a related announcement, Eric Rhea has been promoted to fill Davis’ former post as president of the Bedding Group. Rhea, who has served as president of the Bedding Group’s Central Division since 2004, has worked exclusively within the group since joining Leggett & Platt 23 years ago. His promotion is also effective Feb. 18, 2012.

Leggett & Platt’s Bedding Group, as part of the company’s Residential Furnishings Segment, produces components for innersprings and bed foundations.
